New Things

 

It’s here It’s here! Spring is here!  OH MY WORD I am so grateful to have winter behind us. Have I yet mentioned how I struggle in the cold bleak dark winter?  I start to feel like I’m suffocating and have to fight my way through the drudgery of it all.  But Spring is upon us here at Truth Haven and the feeling of the sun is the best kind of therapy for me. Everything is lush green and trees are budding and blooming and the kids are giggling and exploring and I’m filled with such anticipation for the rest of our spring and summer here.

My last post was shared with such a heavy heart, so I’m very excited to share with you our news! We added a new fur baby to the mix. Meet Bjorn our new Great Pyrenees Pup!

He and Hadwin have acclimated quite well and actually Hadwin has chilled and seems a lot happier.  My Mommy heart just loves looking out the window during the day and seeing them cuddled up next to each other or chasing each other around the pasture.

Bjorn can hold his own and seems very mature already.  At just 24 weeks he is in charge, calm, cool, very nice manners, a total dream.  WE LOVE HIM.  I gathered up some bravery a few weeks ago and drove down to St. Louis MO to pick him.  (all by myself  ;P) He is worth every single mile.

Both pups have had some very nice interactions with the alpaca and I’m hopeful that we will soon be able to trust them to share the same pasture. When the alpacas are not grazing they are up by the dogs, just on the other side of the gate.  They have even stopped wanting to go to the barn at night.

We have already launched into many projects here.  I’ll share those adventures in the posts to come!  I figured a “short and sweet” post was due.  Happy spring to you all! ❤
